JESSICA LANGE'S FULL PERFORMANCE OF LANA DEL REY COVER ON AMERICAN HORROR STORY

I mean.....GENIUS!!! Last night Jessica Lange, aka Elsa Mars, sang her much hyped Lana Del Rey cover of Gods & Monsters on American Horror Story: Freak Show, and she nailed it!! Lana Del Rey's music fits frighteningly well on this season, so Jessica had to look no further than her lyrics for inspiration. Of course, they left out the most controversial lyric for this broadcast. The second verse normally starts out, "In the land of Gods & Monsters I was an angel looking to get f**ked hard". Demure. I guess even FX can't get away with that. Ha. This season of AHS is kind of awesome so far. Is it weird that I'm attracted to Dandy? I don't think I'm supposed to be. Anyhoozers, enjoy!!

LANA DEL REY RELEASES TRAILER FOR VIOLENT NEW SHORT FILM, TROPICO

Lana Del Rey is branching out, y'all. The trailer for the December 5th release of her new short film Tropico debuted on VEVO and it looks violent and full of religious iconography. Maybe an Adam & Eve theme running through this somehow, but you never know with Lana. Check out the NSFW trailer below. The film will feature three songs from Lana's last EP, Paradise, which is amazing; Bel Air, Body Electric and Gods and Monsters. If you don't have Lana's albums you should really check them out. They are pretty amazing, I must say. Okay, watch below and look for Tropico on December 5th.

NEW LANA DEL REY: BEL AIR

Another dreamy track by Lana Del Rey!! Bel Air is another track from Lana's new EP, Paradise, set to be unleashed next Tuedsay, November 13th. Accompanied by a simple, smokey video, Bel Air is has a soft piano and Del Rey's trademark velvety vocals. So far it sounds like the songs on Paradise are sticking close to those on Born to Die, and that is fine by me. Can't wait hear the rest of the EP's 8 tracks (9 if you by the deluxe edition). Hardly an EP, but whattayagonnado?? Well, you could buy it as the Born to Die: The Paradise Edition, in case you hadn't picked up Lana's original LP. It's amazy. Enjoy Bel Air.

NEW VIDEO: LANA DEL REY - RIDE

Normally, long intros to videos bore the crap out of me, but the three-plus minute monologue that is underscored by video of Lana del Rey wandering the streets, picking up tricks and swinging on a tire that is all laid over some truly beautiful orchestration is mesmerizing. (And I'm not the only one who thinks Lana looks like the older sister Ginny in Sixteen Candles?) Is Lana going to dip into acting soon? Hmmmm... The music video itself is another stunning creation by Lana and her record company (who knows who is responsible for what these days) and the song is amazing. The ending is pretty awesome too. It's very interesting that Ms. del Rey has managed to produce some of the most consistent, enjoyable music this year. Her videos continue to be controversial without being too gimmicky. Watch this and see what you think. I believe it's another winner. Born to Die: The Paradise Edition is out in November.

NEW LANA DEL REY: RIDE

Lana Del Rey had a big year in music. Her debut album, Born to Die, was an international hit and she (for better or worse) appeared on SNL. Her album is being re-released with eight new tracks in November and will be called The Paradise Edition. Swanky! Ride is the first single off of that expanded edition, and it's another dreamy affair from Ms. Del Rey. It's got that sleepy voice, the strings, the build to excitement that we've come to expect from our girl. If this is any indication of the new music to come, I think we're in for a treat.
